| The Assistant Teaching tube allows a second head to be attached to the scope in order for a second person to view the operating surface at the same time as the main user. The tube is attached to a beamsplitter and a binocular or monocular head is then attached. |

Beamsplitter |
|
| The beamsplitter allows the light path to be split allowing a video camera, digital camera, or an assistant head to be attached to the microscope. The most common beamsplitter used is a 50-50 / 20-80, which means one side splits the light into 50% to the user’s eye and 50% to the digital camera. The 20-80 is 20% to the camera and 80% to the user’s eye. |

Binocular Heads |
|
Binocular Heads are another interchangeable part that is an option on the Seiler Microscope product line. There are three types of binocular heads in the market:
- Straight Head - This is a Fixed Straight Binocular Head that is fixed in a horizontal configuration. This is used mainly for ENT, Colposcopy, and for the assistant teaching tube.
- Fixed Inclined Head - The inclined head is fixed at a 45 degree angle and is an inexpensive option that is rarely used.
- 0-180 Inclinable Head - The 0-180 head allows the head to continuously rotate from 0 degrees to 180 degrees to allow the user to have adjustable positioning for the binocular head.

Counterbalance System |
|
| Seiler's unique counterbalance system allows the user to add additional accessories such as video and digital imaging while keeping the optic pod perfectly balanced at all times. This allows the user to rotate the optic pod in a nice smooth movement without having to tighten any additional knobs to compensate the additional weight of the accessory. This is a standard feature on all of Seiler's surgical microscopes. |

Extender and Rotation Device |

| Seiler Microscopes come standard with either a 10x or 12.5x objectives. The configuration depends on the type of microscope that you are working with. There is also an option for 20x eyepieces as well. Remember, by changing the eyepiece and/or the objective lens you will change the magnification levels of the scope. |

Fiber Optic Cables (FOC) |

| Seiler uses Fiber Optic Illumination in all of their surgical microscopes. There are several different lengths of Fiber Optic Cables available for the Seiler Surgical Microscope product lines. Every scope comes with a standard length fiber optic cable at 1.7 meters. 1.3 and 2.1 meters are also available. |

Objective lenses |
|
| Seiler operating scopes come with a standard objective configuration generally 250mm or 300mm. Other objective lengths are available from 175-400mm, which can be interchanged on the scope before it is sent to the customer. (50mm=2inches) 250mm gives the user about a 10 inch working distance. 300mm= 12inches, 350mm= 14inches and so on. |
