The ODYSSEY I
Dental Water Unit is self-contained water system
that continuously delivers disinfected water (<10
CFU) to dental units by removing biofilms and
preventing their recurrence. As the ozonated water
flows through your waterlines it destroys bio films,
resulting in purified water with no harmful effects
on your equipment
- ODYSSEY
generates ozone from oxygen through exposure to
ultraviolet light
- In less than 10
minutes the ozonated gas sterilizes water in the
reservoir.
- Easily mounted
on wall or post
- Easy to use,
just fill reservoir with distilled water and flip
the switches
- Approved by FDA,
UL, CSA and internationally recognized independent
research institute.

How Important is
Clean Water in Your Dental Office?

CRA CONCLUSIONS
Odyssey I is
reliable & is the least labor intensive product yet
tested by CRA that maintains <200 cfu/ml on dental
unit waterlines. CRA's work has established that (1)
servicing every 2 years is adequate if the unit is
turned off nightly & on weekends & (2) O-rings
should be replaced yearly
I have used the
Odyssey I units in four operatories for the past
three years. I feel they are very effective in
sterilizing the cooling water and lines. I like the
fact that you do not have to run any chemicals
through the system and that it is compatible with
all of our equipment. They are so easy to use and
quite reliable. We have had a few minor problems
with some of the parts, but these situations were
easily resolved. I find the support from the company
to be excellent. I would recommend that you purchase
a spare unit, so if one does act up, you simply
change the unit and have the other one repaired. If
you are comfortable with minor dental repairs, you
should have no problems replacing any worn out or
defective parts.

The Germiphene
Odyssey I has been a great labor saving device. Our
previous DUWL regimen consisted of multiple
chemicals and had 2 huge problems from my
perspective. The chemicals caused corrosion of the
metal parts and our carts had to be constantly
repaired from the damage due to the chemicals. My
dental assistants spent 15 minutes per cart per day
running all the disinfectants and then rinsing our
system.
My dental
assistants love not having to run chemicals every
day. They didn't like the smell. They didn't like
the discoloration to fabrics that frequently occured
and they don't miss the time spent doing the
regimen.
I've owned the
odyssey I for 3.5 years and even with the new lights
each year and some maintenance, we save money versus
a chemical system. We paid for ours in just 18
months with the labor savings alone. I just wanted
to say thanks.
