Municipal water is first filter by a 1-micron sediment (removes sand, silt, dust and rust), followed by a 1/2 micron carbon filter (removes chemicals). Prior to exposure to the high intensity Ultraviolet light which instantly destroys 99.998% of all bacteria, viruses, mold and algae. System provides enough bacteria free water to service up to three operatories (depending upon the plumbing).

Easily installed wherever it is convenient (not required to be in operatory). Once disinfection protocol has been performed, service is recommended only twice a year (depending on water use and quality of the water). General Information

The patented DWS001 Ultraviolet Dental Water Sterilizer incorporates three different water treatment technologies: Sediment filtration to remove fine particles like sand, silt, dust etc., Carbon block filtration to remove chemicals like hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, etc. Municipal water MUST always be filtered FIRST to prevent bacteria and/or viruses from becoming "shaded" from the effects of the UV irradiation.

The DWS001 can be mounted on any wall, near a cold water line and power. Depending upon the existing plumbing, this system is capable of providing enough sterile* water for up to three operatories. Once the existing dental waterlines have been successfully disinfected (See Manufacturers Recommendations & Treatment Protocols), the DWS001 can be installed anywhere within the dental office, it is NOT necessary for it to be physically located within the dental operatory.

With clear filter housings, the DWS001 prefilters will begin to change colors rather quickly. Therefore, we recommend that the system NOT be installed where your dental clients can easily view it. Actual filter life is based upon the AMOUNT of water used and the QUALITY of the water supply. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT BOTH FILTERS BE REPLACED ON A SIX (6) MONTHS BASES. THE UV LAMP IS RATED FOR 9000 CONTINUOUS HOURS (12 MONTHS) AND SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY YEAR. The UV lamp draws less than 24 watts and should remain ON at all times to insure proper disinfection.

The New DWSMTR-20 ultraviolet system is an upgraded design to provide 8 GPM of bacteria free water to each dental treatment room. This system incorporates three different water technologies into one system. The first stage is a 1 micron sediment filter to remove fine particles like sand, silt, dust and parasites. The second stage filter is a 10 micron carbon block filter that removes chemicals like hydrogen sulfide, chlorine and bad odors. The third stage is the high intensity UV lamp designed to eliminate waterborne bacteria and viruses. Municipal water MUST BE FILTERED FIRST to prevent bacteria and viruses from becoming "SHADED" from the effects of the ultraviolet irradiation.

Actual filter life is based upon the AMOUNT of water used and the QUALITY of the water supply. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT BOTH FILTERS AND UV LAMP BE REPLACED EVERY 6-12 MONTHS. THE UV LAMP IS RATED FOR 9000 CONTINUOUS HOURS (12 MONTHS) AND SHOULD REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES TO INSURE PROPER DISINFECTION.

ULTRAVIOLET SYSTEM THAT SUPPLIES 8 GPM

This ultraviolet system produces bacteria free water for each treatment room, (depending on plumbing or separate water loop for treatment rooms). This UV system is a upgraded version of the DWS001 (single operatory system) designed with 20" slim line filters and a vertical ultraviolet lamp to provide enough water for the treatment rooms.

EASY INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

Easily installed wherever it is convenient (not required to be in treatment room), once disinfection protocol has been performed, service is recommended 6 to 12 months (depending upon water use and quality of the water). The system is warranted for 3 years.

The DWS-SADI incorporates three different water treatment technologies into one system: One (1) Dual Purpose Filter (DPF) to reduce dirt and chlorine; Two (2) DI filters to reduce minerals; Reverse Osmosis Membrane to reduce other contaminants from the water providing low Total Dissolved Solid Water (TDS) for Autoclave use.

The input water enters through the DPF filter then through the RO membrane, and from the RO membrane the water goes through the DI filters into the DI Storage Tank before use. The DI water flow from the DI faucet has been reduced to 1000 ML/MIN to allow maximum contact time of the RO water with the DI chemical. The system also comes with a DI monitor that indicates a RED light, signaling the dental staff that the DI filters are exhausted and should be replaced. This DI water is not to be used as DRINKING WATER!

*Based upon the input municipal water of 600 PPM (parts per million) of Total Dissolved solids (TDS) you should expect 160 gallons of low TDS water for your autoclave. If the input of the TDS is lower, expect to receive more autoclave water.

To calculate the amount of parts per million (PPM) removal of the following formula is used: Step 1: Measure the water total dissolved solids (TDS) from the permeate output of the RO Membrane (TDS). Step 2: Given the following formula the estimated amount of DI water available. (31,122/(TDS)

Example if the  measured TDS output from RO Membrane is 30 PPM. The formula is: 31,122/30=1,032 gallons before the DI chemical is exhausted. These calculations also apply to DWS-DDI10

Be sure to start at the farthest hand piece, open it, then repeat for additional hand pieces and allow the disinfectant liquid to flow; then close the hand piece valve or faucet once the liquid appears. After all the hand pieces have been disinfected, let the liquid disinfectant stand overnight in the waterlines, then flush with air pressure when cycle is completed.

An air hose, funnel and a laminated instruction sheet will be provided with every unit. These items should be kept near the Disinfection Purging Unit.
